1st Shift Warehouse Package Handler

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated 1st Shift Warehouse Package Handler to join our team at Aldi. This is a full-time position with an average of 30-35 hours per week. The starting wage is up to $18.00 - $24.00 per hour, based on shift and schedule differential pay. The 1st Shift begins at 7:00 AM.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Select and receive incoming stock efficiently to fulfill store orders.
• Relocate merchandise within the warehouse according to guidelines.
• Sort, organize, and load merchandise for shipment.
• Perform general cleaning tasks to maintain warehouse standards.
• Participate in warehouse inventory counts.
• Cooperate with colleagues and warehouse leadership for effective communication.
• Assist in improving warehouse processes.
• Inspect products for quality and safety.
• Follow safety guidelines and notify management of any issues.
• Complete assigned tasks accurately and efficiently.

Job Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Demonstrate conscientiousness, teamwork, positive attitude, drive for success, and efficiency.
• Ability to interpret and apply company policies and procedures.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Basic arithmetic skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Education and Experience

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Lift and place products up to 45 pounds.
• Move merchandise within the warehouse.
• Perform various physical tasks throughout the warehouse.
• Work in varying temperatures.
• Operate powered industrial equipment safely.
