1st Shift Warehouse Package Handler

Job Description

We are currently looking for a 1st Shift Warehouse Package Handler to join our warehouse operations team at Aldi. Our warehouse employees play a vital role in ensuring products are efficiently received, processed, and delivered to our stores. As a Package Handler, you will work in both ambient and temperature-controlled areas, contributing to the success of our distribution process.

Responsibilities

• Select and receive incoming stock to fulfill store orders.
• Relocate merchandise within the warehouse based on handling guidelines.
• Prepare merchandise for shipment by sorting, organizing, and loading strategically.
• Participate in inventory counts and maintain warehouse cleanliness.
• Collaborate effectively with team members and warehouse leadership.
• Provide input to improve warehouse processes.
• Inspect product quality, address safety concerns, and sanitation issues.
• Operate equipment and follow safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Demonstrates conscientiousness, collaboration, positive attitude, resilience, and drive for success.
• Ability to interpret and apply company policies, communicate effectively, and work both independently and as part of a team.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Lift and place products weighing up to 45 pounds.
• Move merchandise, sit, stand, bend, reach, and perform various physical tasks.
• Work in varying temperatures and operate powered industrial equipment.
