1st Shift Warehouse Package Handler

Job Description

We are looking for a skilled 1st Shift Warehouse Package Handler to join our team at Aldi. This full-time position offers 30-35 hours per week with a competitive starting wage ranging from $20.75 to $26.75 per hour based on shift and schedule differential pay. The role involves selecting and receiving incoming stock, relocating merchandise in the warehouse, loading and unloading shipments, maintaining warehouse cleanliness, and interacting effectively with peers and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Select and receive incoming stock efficiently.
• Relocate merchandise according to guidelines.
• Load and unload shipments and back-hauls.
• Perform general cleaning duties and maintain warehouse appearance.
• Participate in inventory counts and communication with peers and leadership.
• Provide input for process improvement.
• Inspect products for quality, safety, and sanitation.
• Operate equipment safely and notify management of any issues.

Qualifications

• Minimum age requirement of 18 years.
• Demonstrated conscientiousness, teamwork, positive attitude and resilience.
• Drive for success and organizational efficiency.
• Ability to interpret and apply company policies and procedures.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
• Basic arithmetic abilities and capacity to work both independently and within a team.

Physical Requirements

• Lift and handle products up to 45 pounds at various heights.
• Move merchandise, stand, bend, reach, and walk throughout the warehouse.
• Operate powered industrial equipment safely.
