Job Description

ABF Freight, an ArcBest company, is seeking an Operations Supervisor to join our team in Denver, CO. As an Operations Supervisor, you will be responsible for planning, supervising, and controlling available resources to ensure timely, damage-free, and safe loading/unloading of freight. You will play a crucial role in maintaining load plans, assigning job tasks, coordinating work assignments, providing training and feedback, and fostering a safe working environment.

Responsibilities

• Plan, supervise, and control resources for loading/unloading of freight.
• Maintain appropriate load plans and ensure safe vehicle operation.
• Assign job tasks, monitor performances, and provide training and feedback.
• Coordinate work assignments and promote a safe working environment.
• Foster safe handling, loading, unloading, and storage of hazardous materials.
• Work in a team setting to accomplish department goals.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree preferred; relevant experience in transportation is a plus.
• Supervisory experience is preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• General knowledge of freight handling techniques.
