Job Description

Join our team at Holiday Inn and Suites Gateway as an Assistant General Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the General Manager in all aspects of hotel operations to ensure efficiency and guest satisfaction. From assigning duties to staff training, maintaining records, and resolving guest complaints, you will play a pivotal role in the hotel's success. As an Assistant General Manager, you will also be involved in property inspections, staff management, and ensuring compliance with hotel operating standards and procedures.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Support the General Manager in day-to-day hotel operations.
  • Train staff and assign duties to ensure adherence to hotel policies.
  • Act as the hotel's public relations director and promote the property within the industry.
  • Resolve guest complaints and oversee service recovery processes.
  • Maintain accurate records and perform property inspections.
  • Build strong working relationships with staff, departments, and stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with operating controls, policies, and service standards.

Requirements

  • Strong management skills with the ability to delegate effectively.
  • Background in hotel management or related field with experience in hotel operations.
  • Experience in financial accounting, staff supervision, and problem resolution.
  • Excellent computer system skills including Microsoft Office programs.
  • 5-10 years of hospitality industry experience, preferably in luxury hotels.
  • Previous experience as an Assistant General Manager or Executive Assistant Manager.
