Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Associate Buyer to join our dynamic ALDI National Buying team. As an Associate Buyer, you will work closely with suppliers and the Buying Director to oversee the product life cycle of a sub-group of products. Your responsibilities will include requesting, organizing, and managing product samples, strategizing to solve problems with vendors, and serving as the primary liaison between internal and external parties.

Responsibilities

  • Work alongside the Buying Director to manage the product life cycle.
  • Request, organize, and manage product samples.
  • Provide recommendations based on market knowledge.
  • Manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and coordinate information flow.
  • Solve problems with vendors and product issues effectively.
  • Utilize computer applications for database management and tracking.
  • Act as the primary liaison between internal and external parties.
  • Contribute to training efforts and participate in committee work.
  • Recommend changes for operational improvements.
  • Collaborate with team members and communicate with leadership.
  • Handle administrative tasks such as answering phones and preparing documents.

Requirements

  • Associate Degree in Business or related field.
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to think critically and manage multiple projects.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
