Job Description

We are looking for a talented Clinical Development Lead in Solid Tumor Oncology to join Jazz Pharmaceuticals. As the Clinical Development Lead, you will be responsible for spearheading the late-stage development and life-cycle management of a key Oncology asset for Biliary Tract Cancer (BTC) and Gastroesophageal Adenocarcinoma (GEA). Your role will involve providing strategic leadership for clinical development, planning and executing global clinical development plans, ensuring cross-functional collaboration, overseeing regulatory compliance, managing clinical trials, analyzing data, managing risks, and fostering external collaborations.

You will also be accountable for budget and resource management, developing a high-performance culture within the clinical development team, and actively contributing to the advancement of the oncology pipeline. The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience in leading the successful development of a Solid Tumor Oncology asset through late-stage development resulting in approval and commercialization, as well as proven experience in leading and developing high-performing clinical development teams. Executive presence and effective communication skills are essential for this role.

MD qualification is required, with Board certification preferred, and a higher postgraduate degree such as a PhD is desirable. Clinical and/or development experience in solid tumor oncology, particularly in BTC or Gastrointestinal cancers, would be advantageous.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership for clinical development in CTC and GEA Oncology program.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive global clinical development plans.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of clinical development programs.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance and timely submissions.
  • Oversee the execution of clinical trials and ensure data quality and patient safety.
  • Analyze clinical trial data and interpret results for informed decision-making.
  • Identify and manage risks related to clinical development programs.
  • Cultivate relationships with key opinion leaders and collaborative partners.
  • Manage budget allocation and resource planning for clinical development programs.
  • Foster a high-performance culture within the clinical development team.

Requirements

  • Demonstrable experience in leading the development of a Solid Tumor Oncology asset successfully.
  • Proven experience in leading and developing high performing clinical development teams.
  • Executive presence and strong communication skills.
  • MD required, Board certification preferred, PhD desirable.
  • Clinical and/or development experience in solid tumor oncology, particularly in BTC or Gastrointestinal cancers, preferred.
