Construction Cost Project Analyst

Job Description

We are looking for a Construction Cost Project Analyst to join the Aldi National Real Estate Services team. As a key player in our growth strategy, this role involves managing construction costs on a national level and collaborating with divisional teams to assess construction bids. The ideal candidate will have a solid grasp of construction documents and a background in construction, architecture, or engineering. Your primary goal will be to ensure that construction expenses align with project requirements and regional cost patterns.

Responsibilities

• Work with Construction Managers on negotiation points with contractors.
• Collaborate with the Director of Real Estate and Construction Manager on defining suitable scopes for clarification or revised pricing.
• Provide divisions with current pricing data for consistency.
• Analyze bids to support project awards to the most qualified and cost-effective contractors.
• Report pricing data to the National Real Estate Project Manager quarterly.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities by reviewing construction documents and proposals.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in Construction Estimating.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and construction cost estimation tools.
