Executive Director, Late-Stage Oncology Clinical Operations

Job Description

Jazz Pharmaceuticals is seeking an Executive Director for Late-Stage Oncology Clinical Operations to lead the team responsible for executing and delivering the Oncology Phase 1-3 pipeline. This role involves strategic operational planning, project cost estimations, and ensuring project goals are achieved on time and within budget. The ideal candidate must have extensive knowledge in solid tumor clinical development, including global experience, familiarity with companion diagnostics (cDX), and a thorough understanding of ICH/GCP requirements.

Responsibilities

• Direct all operational aspects of the Jazz late-stage oncology clinical development pipeline.
• Provide direction and mentorship to staff, set aligned goals, and build high-performing clinical teams.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure operational excellence.
• Contribute to CRO and vendor selection and management.

Requirements

• Minimum of fifteen years' experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry, with at least 10 years in oncology.
• In-depth knowledge of clinical research functions, ICH GCPs, regulatory and legal issues in drug development.
• Strong negotiation, conflict resolution, and clinical operations expertise.
• Deep understanding of metrics, KPIs, and clinical trial technology.

Educational Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field required.
• MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
