Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated Float Staff Nurse to join our team at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. As a staff nurse, you will be responsible for providing expert, evidence-based nursing care to patients and families in a multidisciplinary care team environment. This role involves implementing the nursing process, administering medications, educating patients and families, and ensuring compliance with professional nursing standards. The ideal candidate will demonstrate clinical expertise, critical thinking, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to patient-centered care.
Responsibilities
- Deliver expert, evidence-based nursing care to patients and families.
- Implement the nursing process, including assessing patient and family needs, planning care, implementing the plan, and evaluating patient responses.
- Administer medications, perform procedures, and document care according to regulatory requirements.
- Educate patients and families on disease treatment modalities and support their psychosocial needs.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse license in Massachusetts or New Hampshire.
- Baccalaureate degree in nursing preferred.
- Minimum of 1-year recent RN experience, ambulatory and/or oncology experience preferred.
- Professional nursing certification preferred.
- BLS certification required.
