Job Description
We are hiring a Full-Time Store Associate to join our team at Aldi. As a Store Associate, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks including merchandising, stocking products, cashiering, and maintaining the cleanliness of the store to create a pleasant shopping environment for our customers. Working collaboratively with the ALDI team, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the overall customer experience.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate the Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills (M.A.P.)
- Process customer purchases, maintain store cleanliness, and organize merchandise displays
- Provide exceptional customer service and assist shoppers during their visit
- Collaborate effectively with team members and communicate with store management
- Offer feedback on products, inventory, and customer-related issues
- Participate in inventory counts and ensure accuracy in monitoring stock levels
- Follow cash handling policies and procedures to prevent losses
- Adhere to company policies, uphold security measures, and maintain confidentiality
- Perform other assigned duties as needed
Qualifications
- Minimum age requirement: 18 years
- Ability to provide prompt and courteous customer service
- Efficient operation of a cash register
- Safe handling of equipment such as hand jacks and floor scrubbers
- Capability to interpret and apply company policies
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- Keen attention to detail, ability to multitask, and follow instructions
- Capacity to work independently and within a team environment
- Compliance with state and local regulations for alcohol sales, if applicable
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior retail experience is an advantage
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
