Full-Time Store Manager Trainee

Job Description

We are hiring a Full-Time Store Manager Trainee to join our team at Aldi. As a Store Manager Trainee, you will undergo comprehensive training in all aspects of store management with the aim of taking on the responsibilities of running your own store successfully. Your role will involve supervising day-to-day store operations, ensuring excellent customer service, managing staffing needs, developing operational strategies, and mentoring your team towards success.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate the Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills (M.A.P.) consistently.
• Supervise daily store operations to deliver exceptional customer service.
• Communicate and model company core values to foster teamwork and employee engagement.
• Handle customer concerns promptly and effectively.
• Maintain store signage, product quality, and freshness standards.
• Participate in the hiring process by reviewing resumes, interviewing candidates, and making hiring decisions.
• Manage weekly schedules to ensure adequate staffing levels.
• Conduct store meetings, provide performance feedback, and recommend advancement opportunities.
• Monitor store budget, payroll, and total loss targets.
• Contribute to product selection and merchandising decisions.
• Ensure a safe in-store environment for employees, customers, and vendors.
• Oversee inventory management and compliance with company policies.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team.
• Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
• Strong leadership and coaching capabilities.
• Proficient in interpreting and applying company policies and procedures.
• Experience in budgeting, personnel management, and cash handling.
• Prior retail management experience preferred.

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of progressive retail experience.
• Combination of education and experience equivalent to the requirements.
• Prior management experience is a plus.
