Hiring Local City Driver / Forklift Operator, Full-time

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Local City Driver / Forklift Operator to join our team at ABF Freight in Brooklyn, NY. As a crucial part of our operations, you will be responsible for the timely and safe pickup and delivery of cargo to various destinations, utilizing forklifts and following established procedures.

General Description of Duties:

• Perform pickup and delivery of cargo within the vicinity of the consolidation/distribution center.
• Load and unload trailers using proper techniques and technology.
• Responsibilities may vary based on terminal location.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 21 years of age.
• At least 1 year of verifiable tractor/trailer experience (training may be provided for candidates with less than 1 year).
• Hold a Class-A CDL with various endorsements and no automatic restriction.
• Demonstrate a stable work record and safe driving history.
• Pass DOT pre-employment drug screening and meet medical requirements.
