Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Housekeeping Manager to lead our team at Holiday Inn and Suites Gateway. As the Housekeeping Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of guest rooms and public areas, overseeing department personnel, and ensuring operations meet the standards of HMP Properties. Your duties will include assigning tasks to housekeeping staff, supervising their work, handling guest complaints, managing inventory, testing new products, and ensuring compliance with company procedures and safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Create and assign daily tasks for housekeeping staff.
  • Supervise and monitor room inspectors, attendants, housemen, laundry, and night housemen.
  • Interview, hire, train, and schedule department personnel.
  • Maintain inventory of uniforms and supplies.
  • Test new products and chemicals for the department.
  • Coordinate with Maintenance for repairs.
  • Inspect guest rooms daily for cleanliness.
  • Handle lost and found items.

Requirements

  • Extensive knowledge of hotel housekeeping and cleaning techniques.
  • Detail-oriented in room inspections.
  • Teamwork oriented with the ability to manage staff.
  • High school diploma required; 3+ years of hotel operations experience preferred.
