Job Description

The University of Vermont Health Network is seeking dedicated Licensed Nurse Assistants (LNAs) to join Shep 3 North's Alternative Care Unit. This unit caters to 18-20 long-term care patients with various diagnoses. LNAs will provide direct and indirect patient care under the supervision of Registered Nurses, including vital sign monitoring, responding to patient needs, and assisting with personal care tasks. Successful candidates must possess strong communication skills, compassion, empathy, and exceptional time management abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Take vital signs and respond to call lights.
  • Document patient information in Electronic Medical Records.
  • Assist with personal care tasks such as bathing, toileting, and skin care.
  • Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

  • LNA licensure within the State of Vermont.
  • Long Term Care experience preferred.
  • Reliability, flexibility, compassion, and empathy.
  • Strong teamwork and time management skills.
