Summary of Position

The Line Cook will be responsible for accurately preparing and cooking various food items, ensuring high standards of quality and presentation. This role involves contributing to all aspects of food preparation, from cooking proteins and vegetables to plating and garnishing finished dishes.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook a variety of meats, seafood, and vegetables using a range of kitchen equipment.
  • Maintain quality control by following portion sizes, cooking methods, and food safety guidelines.
  • Keep work stations stocked and organized for smooth service periods.
  • Follow recipes and guidelines for portioning, breading, seasoning, and marinating food items.
  • Ensure proper presentation and garnishing of dishes before serving.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in work areas and equipment.
  • Assist in food prep tasks during slow periods and support kitchen closing procedures.
  • Attend meetings and contribute ideas for kitchen improvements.
  • Perform other duties as directed by Kitchen Management.
