Maintenance Engineer

Job Description

We are currently looking for a Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Homewood Suites Glen Allen. As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of the physical structure of the hotel, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for our guests.

Job Functions

• Perform minor and routine maintenance activities such as painting, plumbing, and electrical work.
• Replace air-conditioner filters and maintain heating and cooling equipment.
• Maintain records of equipment maintenance and repairs.
• Train maintenance staff and ensure quality standards in guest rooms and common areas.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required, Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• 1-2 years of hotel maintenance experience preferred.
• Strong technical skills in HVAC, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, carpentry, etc.
• Valid driver's license and ability to work with financial data.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for long hours and perform physical tasks.
• Capability to lift up to 25 pounds and perform bending or reaching motions.
• Good vision and communication skills in English.
