Manager in Training

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Manager in Training to join our team at Aldi. As a Store Manager Trainee, you will undergo comprehensive training in all aspects of store management to prepare for running your store successfully. Your responsibilities will include supervising daily store operations, ensuring exceptional customer service, managing schedules, and developing operational strategies while mentoring and leading the team.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate the Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills (M.A.P.) consistently
• Supervise team performance to provide top-tier customer service
• Understand and communicate company strategy and core values
• Handle customer concerns and maintain store quality and freshness standards
• Assist in hiring and managing store personnel
• Prepare schedules, establish job responsibilities, and conduct performance evaluations
• Manage store budgets and recommend adjustments for competitiveness
• Ensure a safe environment, oversee merchandising, and maintain proper stock levels
• Comply with company policies and procedures

Job Qualifications

• Minimum age of 18
• Ability to work independently and lead a team
• Demonstrate excellent customer service skills and rapport building
• Interpret and apply company policies effectively
• Experience in budgeting, personnel management, and operation of store equipment
• Organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask efficiently
• Meet state and local requirements for alcohol sales

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• At least 3 years of retail experience
• Prior management experience preferred
