Job Description

We are looking for an Operations Supervisor I to join our team at ABF Freight in Salt Lake City, UT. As a crucial member of the team, you will be responsible for overseeing the timely, safe, and efficient loading/unloading of freight on assigned shifts.

Responsibilities

• Plan, supervise, and control available resources for loading/unloading operations.
• Maintain load plans and ensure safe vehicle balance.
• Assign job tasks and monitor worker performance.
• Provide training, feedback, and disciplinary actions when necessary.
• Ensure a clean, safe work environment for all personnel.
• Promote safe handling and storage of hazardous materials.
• Work collaboratively in a team to achieve department goals.
• Support and embody our company values and culture.
• Other duties and projects as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; relevant experience is a plus.
• Prior supervisory experience is beneficial.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• General knowledge of freight, imports, exports, and handling techniques.
