Hillcrest Medical Center in Tulsa, OK, is hiring a full-time Phlebotomist to join their evening shift team. As a Phlebotomist, you will play a vital role in the healthcare team, ensuring accurate specimen collection and maintaining a high standard of patient care.

Responsibilities

• Promote professionalism and foster a cooperative working environment.
• Obtain specimens following laboratory guidelines.
• Communicate relevant patient or sample information effectively to care providers.
• Maintain compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards.
• Follow procedural directions and protocols accurately.
• Assist coworkers to ensure productivity.
• Ensure proper specimen packaging and transport.
• Handle specimen accessioning.
• Practice infection control measures and proper patient identification.
• Perform drug screen collection and processing.
• Engage with patients in a professional and patient-centered manner.
• Prioritize patient care quality and service excellence.
• Work collaboratively across departments in the hospital/health system.
• Perform arterial punctures when required.
• Be accountable for the quality of patient care provided.
• Promote service excellence and laboratory growth.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Basic computer skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Completion of an accredited phlebotomy/medical assistant program with clinicals or previous phlebotomy experience.
• Experience working in a clinical setting.
