As a full-time evening shift Phlebotomist, you will play a crucial role in our healthcare team by ensuring the proper collection and handling of specimens, promoting a cooperative working environment, and delivering exceptional patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Promote professionalism and maintain a cooperative working environment.
• Follow laboratory guidelines for specimen collection.
• Communicate effectively with care providers regarding patient samples.
• Maintain compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards.
• Follow procedural directions and protocols accurately.
• Assist coworkers to ensure productivity and efficiency.
• Handle specimen packaging, transport, and accessioning.
• Practice proper infection control measures and patient identification.
• Perform drug screen collections and processing.
• Provide phlebotomy services in a professional and patient-centered manner.
• Prioritize patient care quality and promote laboratory service excellence.
• Collaborate with various departments within the healthcare system.
• Perform arterial punctures following protocols.
• Engage in continuous self-evaluation to enhance skills and knowledge.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Basic computer skills.
• Completion of an accredited phlebotomy/medical assistant program or prior phlebotomy experience (preferred).
• Experience working in a clinical setting (preferred).
