Job Description

Aveanna Healthcare, the largest pediatric home health care company in the U.S., is seeking compassionate Registered Nurses (RN) to provide skilled nursing care to patients in the home setting. As a registered nurse, you will be responsible for delivering and documenting quality patient care in compliance with physician orders, while ensuring patient needs are met effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Provide one-to-one patient care in a home environment.
  • Execute physicians' prescribed plans of care and document care provided accurately.
  • Administer medication, treatments, and therapies as directed.
  • Conduct patient assessments and coordinate care with supervisors and physicians.
  • Offer health promotion, teaching, and training to family members.
  • Maintain infection control measures and ensure patient and staff safety.

Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing with an RN license.
  • Current, unrestricted state RN license and CPR certification.
  • Proficiency in clinical assessments, documentation, and compliance.
  • Ability to meet state-specific and discipline-specific experience requirements.

Preferences

  • Six months of recent clinical care experience.
  • Background in home health care.

Skills/Abilities

  • Attention to detail, time management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and organization abilities.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to communicate effectively in English and travel.
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks as needed.
  • Visual, hearing, and sensory capabilities required for patient care.
  • Capability to respond to emergency situations promptly.
