Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team at The University of Vermont Health Network. In this role, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive care to patients throughout the perioperative process, ensuring their well-being before, during, and after surgical or invasive procedures. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining patient safety, managing recovery, and educating patients and families.

Responsibilities

• Deliver optimal patient care using the nursing process.
• Ensure a seamless perioperative experience for patients.
• Monitor patients in pre-procedure, intra-procedure, and post-procedure stages.
• Prevent and manage complications during the perioperative period.
• Provide efficient pain management solutions and educate patients and families.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Registered Professional Nurse in New York State.
• Experience in med/surg nursing with critical care background.
• Ability to take scheduled on-call shifts.
• ACLS certification required, PALS within 12 months.
• Proficient in IV therapy, venipuncture, and IV therapy.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
