staff - Assistant Registered Nurse (RN) - Med Surg - $32-52 per hour

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Assistant Registered Nurse (RN) with a focus on Med Surg to join Advocate Aurora Health in Grafton, Wisconsin. In this staff position, you will provide essential support to RNs in delivering high-quality patient care, including assisting with daily patient activities, documentation, specimen collection, and maintaining a safe and clean environment for patients.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily care to patients under RN supervision, including hygiene, feeding, and mobility assistance.
• Accurately measure and document vital signs and patient data in the EMR system.
• Assist RNs in admission, transfer, and discharge processes, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
• Perform specimen collection, point-of-care testing, and maintain stock in the nursing area.
• Support patient nutritional needs, skin care, and specialized care as directed by RNs.
• Practice infection prevention measures and maintain age-specific patient care standards.

Requirements

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by AHA and Nurse Aide registration required.
• Minimum education of GED or High School Diploma.
• No prior experience necessary, but basic computer skills and excellent communication are essential.
