Store Operations Assistant

Job Description

We are looking for a Store Operations Assistant to join our team at ALDI. As a Store Associate, you will play a vital role in ensuring the store's operations run smoothly. Your responsibilities will include merchandising, stocking products, operating the cash register, and providing exceptional customer service to enhance the overall shopping experience. This is a full-time position with an average of 32-40 hours per week and a starting wage of $17.00 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate the Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills required for the role.
• Process customer purchases, maintain store cleanliness, and organize merchandise displays.
• Assist customers in finding products and provide excellent customer service.
• Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with store management.
• Contribute feedback on products, inventory, and any issues to the management team.
• Participate in inventory counts and ensure inventory accuracy.
• Adhere to cash handling policies and minimize losses.
• Follow company policies and procedures to maintain security and confidentiality.
• Perform other assigned duties as required.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Ability to provide prompt and courteous customer service.
• Efficiently operate a cash register and store equipment.
• Perform cleaning tasks according to company standards.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently or in a team.
• Attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to multitask.
• Meet state and local requirements for handling alcoholic beverages.

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior retail experience is advantageous.
• A combination of education and experience will be considered.
