Store Operations Assistant

Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Store Operations Assistant to join our team at Aldi. As a Store Associate, you will play a key role in enhancing the customer shopping experience by maintaining product displays, assisting with cashier duties, and ensuring the store's cleanliness.

Position Type

Full-Time, 32-40 hours per week

Starting Wage

$18.50 per hour

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate ALDI's Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills (M.A.P.).
• Process customer purchases, stock shelves, and maintain merchandise displays.
• Provide exceptional customer service and assist customers during their shopping experience.
• Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with store management.
• Contribute feedback on products, inventory, and operational issues.
• Participate in store inventory counts and ensure inventory accuracy.
• Adhere to cash handling policies and maintain security of documents and data.
• Follow company policies and procedures to uphold operational standards.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to provide prompt and courteous customer service.
• Efficient operation of a cash register and store equipment.
• Perform general cleaning duties to maintain store cleanliness.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently or in a team.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and capable of multitasking.
• Meet state and local requirements for handling and selling alcoholic beverages.

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior retail work experience preferred.
• Combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge.
