Job Description
We are looking for a Store Operations Assistant to join Aldi's team. As a Store Associate, you will play a crucial role in various in-store operations, including merchandising, cashiering, and maintaining the store's cleanliness. Your dedication to exceptional customer service and collaboration with the ALDI team will enhance the overall shopping experience for our customers.
Position Details
- Job Type: Full-Time
- Average Hours: 32-40 hours per week
- Starting Wage: $18.00 per hour
Key Responsibilities
- Demonstrate ALDI's Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills (M.A.P.)
- Process customer purchases, maintain cleanliness, and organize merchandise displays
- Provide exceptional customer service and assist customers during their shopping experience
- Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with store management
- Contribute feedback on products, inventory, and operational issues to management
- Participate in store inventory counts and ensure inventory accuracy
- Adhere to cash handling policies and minimize losses
- Follow company policies and procedures while maintaining data security and confidentiality
- Perform other assigned duties as needed
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years or older
- Prompt and courteous customer service skills
- Efficient cash register operation
- Competent in using equipment such as hand jacks, floor scrubbers, and balers
- Ability to maintain cleanliness to company standards
- Excellent communication skills
- Work effectively both independently and in a team
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask
- Meet state and local requirements for alcohol sales
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior retail experience preferred
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
