Store Operations Assistant

Job Description

We are looking for a Store Operations Assistant to join our team at Aldi. As a key member of our store operations, you will play a vital role in ensuring a seamless shopping experience for our customers. Your responsibilities will include merchandising, stocking products, cashiering, and maintaining the overall cleanliness of the store.

Key Responsibilities

• Demonstrate the Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills (M.A.P.) required for the role.
• Process customer purchases, maintain cleanliness, and organize merchandise displays.
• Provide exceptional customer service and assist customers during their shopping experience.
• Work collaboratively with team members and effectively communicate with store management.
• Participate in inventory counts and ensure accuracy in monitoring inventory.
• Adhere to cash handling policies to minimize losses and follow company procedures.
• Comply with all company policies while upholding security and confidentiality standards.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Ability to provide prompt and courteous customer service.
• Efficient operation of a cash register and store equipment.
• Capability to interpret and apply company policies and procedures.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently or in a team.
• Meet state and local requirements for handling alcohol (if applicable).

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous retail experience is a plus.
• Combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge.
