Store Operations Assistant

Job Description

We are looking for a Store Operations Assistant to join our team at Aldi. As a vital member of our store operations, you will be responsible for various tasks including merchandising, stocking, cashiering, and ensuring the store maintains a clean and organized environment. By collaborating with the ALDI team, you will contribute to enhancing the overall customer shopping experience and providing exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate the Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills (M.A.P.).
• Process customer purchases, stock shelves neatly, and maintain merchandise displays.
• Provide excellent customer service and assist customers during their shopping experience.
• Communicate effectively with team members and store management.
• Give feedback on products, inventory, and any issues to management.
• Participate in store inventory counts and monitor inventory accuracy.
• Adhere to cash policies and procedures to minimize losses.
• Follow company policies while maintaining document security and confidentiality.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands

• Stock merchandise and place products on shelves.
• Regularly sit, stand, bend, reach, push, pull, lift, carry, and walk around the store.
• Ability to work with or without reasonable accommodation.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Efficient cash register operation and customer service skills.
• Operate equipment safely, including manual tools.
• Ability to interpret and apply company policies.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team or independently.
• Stay organized, detail-oriented, and follow instructions efficiently.
• Meet state and local requirements for handling alcoholic beverages.

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior retail experience is a plus.
• A combination of education and relevant experience.
