Store Operations Assistant

Job Description

We are looking for a Store Operations Assistant to join our team at ALDI. As a key member of the store, you will be responsible for merchandising, stocking, cashiering, and maintaining cleanliness to ensure an excellent shopping experience for our customers.

Position Details

• Position Type: Full-Time
• Average Hours: 32-40 hours per week
• Starting Wage: $18.00 per hour

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate ALDI's Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills
• Perform cashier duties, cleaning tasks, and maintain organized merchandise displays
• Provide exceptional customer service by assisting shoppers
• Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with management
• Contribute feedback on products, inventory, and operational issues
• Conduct store inventory counts and ensure accuracy
• Adhere to cash handling policies to minimize losses
• Follow company policies while ensuring security and confidentiality
• Complete assigned tasks as required

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older
• Ability to provide courteous customer service
• Efficient operation of a cash register
• Safe handling of equipment and ability to perform cleaning tasks
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team
• Organized, detail-oriented, and capable of multi-tasking
• Compliance with state regulations on alcohol sales (if applicable)

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Prior retail experience preferred
• Equivalent combination of education and experience
