Job Description
We are looking for a Store Operations Assistant to join our team at Aldi. As a Store Associate, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the store's appearance, assisting customers, and working collaboratively with the ALDI team. You will provide exceptional customer service, stock shelves, process purchases, and assist with inventory management. This is a full-time position with an average of 32-40 hours per week and a starting wage of $17.50 per hour.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate ALDI Acts Competencies and Professional Skills
- Process customer purchases, stock shelves, and maintain merchandise displays
- Provide excellent customer service and assist customers during their shopping experience
- Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with store management
- Participate in inventory counts and ensure inventory accuracy
- Adhere to cash handling policies and minimize losses
- Comply with company policies, maintain document security and confidentiality
- Perform other assigned duties
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Ability to provide prompt and courteous customer service
- Efficiently operate a cash register and store equipment
- Follow cleaning standards and company procedures
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a team
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask
- Meet all state and local requirements for alcohol sales
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous retail experience is a plus
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
