Job Description
We are looking for a Warehouse Operations Intern to join our team at Aldi's Valparaiso Warehouse. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in warehouse operations and understand what sets Aldi apart as America's fastest-growing grocery retailer. Successful completion of the internship may lead to a full-time role upon graduation.
Responsibilities
- Acquire knowledge from training leaders to understand the importance of leading with excellence.
- Learn warehouse operations and collaborate with staff.
- Understand and adhere to relevant policies and procedures.
- Assist in training, administrative tasks, and creating a positive work environment.
- Participate in various tasks from inventory control to problem-solving.
- Prepare and deliver presentations on warehouse operations to Aldi executives.
- Work closely with team members to develop knowledge and skills.
- Attend trainings and meetings as required.
Qualifications
- Current pursuit of Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management or related field.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask efficiently.
- Ability to take initiative and demonstrate a strong work ethic.
- Attention to detail and ability to work under deadlines.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work in varying temperatures and lift up to 45 pounds.
