Athletic Trainer

Job Description

Blount Memorial Hospital is seeking a dedicated Athletic Trainer to provide exceptional athletic training services in various settings including sporting events, community events, and clinics. The Athletic Trainer will work closely with athletes to assess, monitor progress, and ensure optimal care throughout the treatment process. Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, the Athletic Trainer will play a vital role in delivering comprehensive patient care and providing education to patients, staff, and the community.

Responsibilities

• Assess athletes and provide treatment according to established protocols.
• Document patient progress in clinical charts.
• Participate in multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care.
• Deliver physical therapy care to various populations under supervision.
• Interact professionally with patients, staff, and the public.

Requirements

• Current Athletic Training license by the State of Tennessee Division of Health Related Boards.
• CPR Certification required.
• Membership in professional association recommended.
• Knowledge of growth and development, injury assessment, and treatment techniques.
• Effective communication and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to apply general rules to specific problems.
