Full-Time Store Associate (Entry Level)

Job Description

We are looking for a Full-Time Store Associate (Entry Level) to join our team at Aldi. As a Store Associate, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service, maintaining product displays, operating the cash register, and ensuring the overall cleanliness of our store. You will collaborate with the Aldi team to deliver a positive shopping experience for our customers.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate the Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills (M.A.P.) required for the role.
• Process customer purchases, stock shelves, and maintain merchandise displays.
• Provide exceptional customer service and assist customers in their shopping experience.
• Communicate effectively with team members and store management.
• Offer feedback to management on products, inventory, and operational issues.
• Participate in store inventory counts and ensure inventory accuracy.
• Follow cash handling policies and procedures to minimize losses.
• Adhere to company policies and uphold document security and confidentiality.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to provide prompt and courteous customer service.
• Efficient operation of a cash register.
• Safe operation of equipment like hand jacks and floor scrubbers.
• Ability to interpret and apply company policies and procedures.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Capability to work independently and within a team.
• Organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask efficiently.
• Meet state and local requirements for handling and selling alcoholic beverages.

Preference will be given to candidates with:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Prior retail experience.
• Relevant combination of education and experience.
