Job Description
The primary responsibilities of the CDL Driver at Albertsons Companies, Inc. include performing pre and post-trip vehicle inspections, ensuring safe loading and unloading, and operating equipment efficiently. Responsibilities
- Receive route information, truck and trailer assignments and follow instructions
- Perform pre-trip, inter-trip, and post-trip inspections in compliance with DOT regulations
- Validate load details and secure loads appropriately
- Complete deliveries following the route plan and requirements of each store
- Handle store cleanouts as required, loading items for return to the distribution center
- Maintain cargo security throughout the delivery
- Ensure accurate completion of all necessary paperwork and temperature requirements
- Report working hours using electronic logging devices in compliance with regulations
- Inspect the truck/tractor and/or trailer for defects and report in the DVIR
