The essential functions and basic duties of the CDL Driver at Albertsons Companies, Inc. involve performing pre and post-trip inspections of their vehicle. Delivery drivers are responsible for reviewing and ensuring paperwork accuracy, delivering products, and unloading utilizing various equipment. Duties and Responsibilities:
- Receive route paperwork, truck and trailer assignments, and instructions for the route
- Conduct pre-trip, inter-trip, and post-trip inspections in compliance with DOT regulations
- Verify load and destination, ensuring proper load securement
- Operate the tractor and trailer safely following the route plan
- Complete store clean-outs as contracted and communicate any route issues
- Ensure cargo security, complete required paperwork, and report working hours accurately
- Document and report any equipment defects or concerns
