Job Description
Chevron is seeking a results-oriented and experienced Team Lead for Maintenance & Reliability Engineering. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing, assessing, and improving asset integrity, reliability, and the effectiveness of preventative and predictive maintenance based on data collected through Inspection, Testing, and Maintenance program activity. Additionally, this role will involve managing a team to ensure alignment with corporate/department objectives.
Responsibilities
- Lead the Geismar M&R Team and facilitate asset strategy development through Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) training program.
- Define strategies to eliminate or substantially postpone equipment failures and to recover equipment function after failures occur.
- Ensure the Mechanical Integrity (MI) program compliance with American Petroleum Institute (API) Standards.
- Lead the Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) portion of RCM, delivering Asset Strategies to operations and maintenance.
- Facilitate the introduction, development, implementation, and use of Predictive Maintenance (PdM), including critical spare parts identification based on RCM activities, and more.
Requirements
- Demonstrated attention to detail and experience using CMMS systems such as SAP, MAXIMO, JDE, etc.
- Ability to read and understand process flow sheets, P&IDs, specifications, and drawings.
- Knowledge of standard industrial safety procedures, advanced mathematical skills, and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Highly experienced with MS Office products such as Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Visio; ability to work independently as well as lead/participate on teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field and 8+ years of experience in a reliability or maintenance engineering role in a manufacturing or chemical processing plant, among others.
