Maintenance Technician

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Maintenance Technician to join Hotel Encanto de Las Cruces, where we prioritize employee experience, provide flexible work schedules, and offer unprecedented benefits. As a full-time hourly employee, you'll enjoy a salary range of $13 to $17 per hour (depending on experience) plus a comprehensive benefits package. This position is based in Las Cruces, NM, at our renowned Hotel Encanto.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Work under the direction of the Facilities Manager/Supervisor.
• Maintain a positive and professional rapport with guests, team members, and external partners.
• Respond to work orders and conduct routine facilities maintenance.
• Inspect buildings, grounds, and equipment to address any safety or functioning issues.
• Perform general maintenance tasks including electrical, plumbing, painting, drywall, tile work, and landscaping as required.
• Repair and maintain various structures such as floors, sinks, showers, walls, windows, carpets, roofs, locks, and drains.
• Ensure all work adheres to safety, sanitation, and health regulations and policies.
• Possible maintenance of pools, spas, and hot tubs.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• 1 year of facilities maintenance or construction experience is preferred.
• Prior hospitality experience is a plus.
• Must be able to perform physical tasks including walking, standing, climbing, lifting, stooping, or carrying equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work in varied conditions such as outdoors, indoors, and confined spaces.
• A flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays is necessary.
• Valid driver's license and the ability to maintain company group insurance are required.
