Manufacturing Cost Accountant

Job Description

We are hiring a Manufacturing Cost Accountant to join RTC Aerospace, a renowned aerospace manufacturer with a focus on lean-cell manufacturing and delivering high-quality parts. As a Cost Accountant in our Chatsworth, CA location, you will play a critical role in cost accounting activities, including inventory valuation, cost analyses, and financial reporting. Responsibilities

• Perform cost accounting tasks such as inventory valuation, cost of sales analysis, and variance analysis.
• Develop and analyze cost standards, set standard costs for manufactured goods, and provide financial reporting support.
• Collaborate with internal teams, support capital expenditure projects, and participate in annual budget development.
• Lead cycle count procedures, ensure accuracy in inventory records, and support external audits on product costing.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and communicate financial performance results effectively to diverse audiences.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing setting, aerospace experience preferred.
• Strong analytical skills, ERP system experience, and proficiency in spreadsheets and databases.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics.
• Ability to work in a dynamic environment, meet critical deadlines, and collaborate effectively across departments.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
