Job Description
Join Boeing, a company committed to innovation, collaboration, and making a real difference in the world. We are seeking a talented Senior Vehicle Management Systems (VMS) Software Engineer to lead the VMS software team for the T-7A program within the Air Dominance division based in Berkeley, MO.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development of software architectures, algorithms, and designs
- Integrate complex software components to create a functional system
- Develop verification plans, test procedures, and execute tests to ensure software requirements are met
- Provide technical leadership, manage software projects, and drive process improvement
- Act as a subject matter expert for software domains and system-specific issues
- Track and evaluate software team performance to ensure compliance with project plans and industry standards
This position requires 100% onsite work and the ability to obtain U.S. Security Clearance.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor, Master, or Doctorate degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
- 7+ years of experience in software development in avionics or real-time embedded systems using C/C++, Ada, C#, or Java
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Real-time Operating Systems (RTOS)
- Knowledge of object-oriented analysis and design (OOAD) methodologies
- Proficiency in Agile software development
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
Education/Experience
Advanced technical education with 9+ years of related work experience or equivalent combination
