Job Title: Software Engineering Lead
Location: Berkeley, MO
Boeing is looking for a talented Software Engineering Lead to join the Phantom Works team within Boeing Defense, Space, and Security in Berkeley, MO. As part of this dynamic team, you will be involved in developing real-time embedded software for various aerospace and defense projects. This role requires coordinating software development activities, leading teams, and ensuring product safety, security, and quality.
Position Responsibilities
- Represent the company in industry partner research teams.
- Lead software requirements translation into system architecture and designs.
- Guide complex software issues resolution and critical program development.
- Stay updated on new software technologies and tools.
- Lead software architecture-level trade studies and ensure system performance requirements are met.
- Lead software safety and airworthiness approaches.
- Develop software applications leveraging cloud computing.
Basic Qualifications
- Active U.S. Secret Security Clearance.
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate in Computer Engineering or related field.
- 5+ years' experience with C, C++, C#, Python, Java, or Ada.
- Experience in embedded software design and development.
- Experience leading technical teams and software systems development.
- Knowledge of software safety standards like MIL-STD-882 and DO178C.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in mission systems software development.
- Experience with DevSecOps and Agile methodologies.
- Knowledge of Open Architecture standards.
- Experience in cloud-based software development.
This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance and the ability to obtain program access.
