Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Storage Technology Sales Specialist to join IBM's Global Storage Business Development Team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies to support the Storage Brand, grow sales with existing partners, identify and onboard new partners, and exceed storage sales targets. The ideal candidate will work closely with the IBM Systems teams, understand product portfolios and roadmaps, and build long-term relationships with key industry partners.
Responsibilities
- Provide expertise on storage products, technologies, and routes-to-market.
- Develop and implement strategies to increase sales and profits with partners.
- Act as the primary contact for partners, manage pipelines, and negotiate agreements.
- Analyze industry trends to identify new partner opportunities and onboard them.
- Collaborate with global and regional teams to drive sales and partner relationships.
- Travel throughout North America to execute business plans and attend trade shows and conferences.
- Enhance product and brand awareness through programs and strategic initiatives.
- Stay updated on IBM storage roadmaps, industry trends, and competitor activities.
Requirements
- 10+ years of Business Development Executive experience in the technology industry.
- Experience in client engagement, deal negotiation, and global Go to Market strategies.
- Strong project management skills and ability to influence in a global team environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, software, or related field; master’s or doctorate preferred.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and coaching skills.
