Job Description
The Team Lead- Maintenance & Reliability Engineering position at Chevron plays a critical role in ensuring the asset integrity, reliability, and effectiveness of preventative and predictive maintenance activities. As a pivotal member of the Geismar M&R team, you will lead the development, maintenance, and support of the Reliability Engineering portion of the M&R Strategy.
Responsibilities
- Lead and facilitate Asset Strategy development through Reliability Centered Maintenance training, ensuring appropriate personnel are trained in the process.
- Ensure that Reliability Engineering resources focus on defining strategies to eliminate or postpone equipment failures.
- Facilitate the use of Equipment Criticality Analysis to prioritize Asset Strategies for the most critical assets.
- Lead the Failure Mode and Effects Analysis portion of RCM and deliver resulting Asset Strategies to operations and maintenance.
- Advocate for a “Design for Reliability” and “Build for Reliability” strategy in the Capital program.
- Assist in the development of maintenance procedures as needed.
Requirements
- Demonstrate attention to detail.
- Experience using CMMS systems such as SAP, MAXIMO, JDE, etc.
- Advanced mathematical skills and knowledge of standard industrial safety procedures.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field, with 8+ years of experience in a reliability or maintenance engineering role in a manufacturing or chemical processing plant.
