Job Description

Oklahoma Christian University is seeking a qualified candidate to join the Department of Computer Science in a tenure-track or non-tenure-track position. The successful applicant will be responsible for teaching core and upper-level computer science courses, advising students, participating in department curriculum planning, and serving on university committees as needed. The rank and tenure-track determination will be based on the candidate's qualifications and experience, with specific course assignments collaboratively determined.

Primary Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Computer Science with significant industry experience; Ph.D. preferred.
  • Preferred area of expertise: Software Engineering.
  • Demonstrated commitment to diversity and the ability to communicate and positively engage students and colleagues across racial, gender, and cultural barriers.
  • Active membership in a local Church.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Teaching: Teach courses in computer science at the undergraduate and/or graduate level and maintain appropriate educational records.
  • Service: Academic advising, engagement in recruiting activities, serving on university committees, providing mentorship to students and organizations, maintaining membership and active involvement in a local church.
  • Scholarship: Engaging in scholarly activities and contributing to the department's and university's positive work and learning environment.
