Job Description
We are looking for a Full-Time Store Associate (Entry Level) to join our team at Aldi. As a Store Associate, you will be responsible for various tasks including merchandising, stocking products, cashiering, and maintaining store cleanliness to ensure an exceptional shopping experience for our customers.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate ALDI's Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills (M.A.P.)
- Process customer purchases, restock shelves, and maintain merchandise displays
- Provide exceptional customer service and assist customers during their shopping experience
- Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with store management
- Give feedback to management on products, inventory, and any issues
- Participate in store inventory counts and ensure inventory accuracy
- Adhere to cash handling policies and procedures
- Comply with company policies, ensuring security and confidentiality of data
- Perform any other duties as assigned
Physical Demands
- Stock merchandise and place products on shelves weighing up to 45 pounds
- Perform various physical tasks including sitting, standing, bending, reaching, lifting, and walking around the store
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years or older
- Ability to provide prompt and courteous customer service
- Efficient operation of cash register and store equipment
- Capable of following company policies, conducting general cleaning, and handling products
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask efficiently
- Meet state and local requirements for handling alcoholic beverages
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior retail experience is a plus
